This Greinacher Circuit takes an AC voltage as input and outputs a doubled DC voltage. This Greinacher Circuit is an evolution of the Villard Circuit because it produces less ripple. The Villard Circuit is also known as the Voltage Double or Clamper Circuit. Notice that the Greinacher Circuit is a combination of a Clamper Circuit and Peak Detector Circuit. Vout = 2 * Vpeak Vout = 2 * 170 = 340VDC
