Phase Lag Equalizer

Circuit Description

Graph image for Phase Lag Equalizer

Circuit Graph

Passive phase equalizer exhibiting negative phase shifts. The magnitude response is flat across the entire frequency range, the value is 0.5 signifying a loss. The phase varies from 0° to -180°, being -90° @ 1 kHz. There is no need for two voltage sources but this was done because a differential probe is not available. The response should be taken from the junction of Rph and Cph to the junction of Rp and Rn. Stacking the two voltage sources and grounding their junction allows the response to be taken by a single-ended probe from the junction of Rph and Cph.
