Circuit Graph

The circuit is a 555 timer configured as a monostable multivibrator. This circuit can be found in multitude of references such as books, magazines, technical manuals, web pages, etc. but I created this circuit because I have to cite this in some other circuits that I created. Notes: Originally I wanted approximately 1 ms monostable period, I scaled it down by 10 (Ct changed from 0.1 µF to 0.01 µF) so that the simulation can be viewed faster. The duty cycle for the trigger clock/pulse is set to 62.5 % instead of the more familiar 75% so that the graph will be displayed quickly after 125 µs instead of 150 µs simulation time. It takes a relatively long time to display the graph. In Simulation settings, Initial conditions is set to "User defined". If this is set to "Determine automatically" the voltages are quickly plotted but the graph can confound the viewer, see the circuit "555 Timer Monostable Multivibrator (Initial conditions = Determine automatically)". A modified circuit that circumvents this hindrance to generate the graph faster is in "555 Timer Monostable Multivibrator (Fast Graph Generation)".
