This sample demonstrates the six step control method for driving a brushless DC machine.
π Hall effect sensor signals from the machine are gated by the Transistor-with-diode switches to generate appropriate pulse signals to the Controller inputs of the Brushless DC Machine.
βͺοΈYou can vary the DC bus voltage using the interactive voltage source V1.
π Implementation Notes:
1) βοΈ
A typical controller for a brushless DC machine contains 3 bi-directional outputs (i.e., frequency controlled three phase output), which are controlled by a logic circuit.
2) βοΈ
A Hall effect sensor is a transducer that varies its output voltage in response to a magnetic field. Hall effect sensors are used for proximity switching, positioning, speed detection, and current sensing applications.
