Voltage Doubler for Tube Amplifier pre and final stage

Voltage Doubler for Tube amp using 120/240Vac transformer. R1 represents the combined load of all the amplifier tubes. 180uf 400VDC capacitors are stacked to handle the voltage. Bleed resistors should be used between the 180uf 400V capacitors. The 35uf capacitors are used to allow for tube rectification. The value can be increased to allow high voltage and a "stiffer" supply with solid state rectifiers... or lowered for lower current required for tube rectifiers. A thermistor is recommended to help with high current surge upon start-up of the transformer.
