The circuit is a configurable half subtractor/adder.
When MODE = 1 the circuit functions as a half subtractor, when MODE = 0 the circuit functions as a half adder.

MODE = Mode configuration input, this controls what operation the circuit performs as already described above.

SdAd = Subtrahend/Addend Input
DIFhSUMh = (Half Subtractor) Difference / (Half Adder) Sum Output
