The network formed by Rl, Lz, Cz, and Rc is a Zobel bridge, one form of Zobel network. A distinct characteristic of this network is its constant and purely resistive impedance. Thus, the current drawn from the source will be equal in amplitude for all frequencies. Ideally, in the Zobel balanced bridge shown, no current flows through Rb, a hallmark of any balanced bridge circuit.
The Zobel bridge is balanced when Rl=R=Rc and R²=Lz/Cz.
